MOVE AND LOSE : BELIEVE AND COMMIT - [Back to programs]

Overweight? Tired? Stressed?

Want to do something about changing your life and getting healthy once and for all?

Then this program is for you!

You will be gently guided to running and walking 5 kilometers after 15 sessions of coaching and nutritional guidance. Includes food samples at every class, recipes, handouts, and all the motivation you need.

Believe it - you can do it!

Workshop topics include:
Practical aspects of running, group motivation, safety, proper running form, stretching, sports injuries, cross training, calculating your target heart rate, sports psychology. Professional guest speakers include: sports doctors, registered massage therapists, tri-athletes.

Nutrition topics include:
fridge and pantry make over, healthy baking, good fat verses bad fat, fad diets, starch alternatives, lifestyle management, Canada's Food Guide, healthy snacks, food quizzes, etc. Each session will discuss health eating strategies accompanied by practice suggestions, food samples and delicious low calorie recipes. Each session will include a 20 minute workout, 30 minutes of instruction and 20 minutes
